Cleaning it properly means working into the texture, not just over the top of it, and doing that without smoothing the surface or stripping the very grip that makes it safe.
This is a step a lot of quick washes skip or do badly. Too gentle and the deck stays gray and grimy; too aggressive and you polish down the traction. The right approach uses the correct brushes, marine-safe cleaners and technique to pull the dirt up out of the pattern while leaving the non-skid doing its job.
We agitate marine-safe cleaner down into the molded or textured surface with brushes chosen to reach the pattern, lift the embedded grime, and rinse it clear. Stubborn staining, the dark traffic paths and organic stains, gets targeted treatment. The deck comes back to an even, bright color instead of the blotchy gray of trapped dirt.
After cleaning, the right products can add a measure of protection without making the deck slick. We never apply a glossy wax that would turn your footing dangerous. Keeping non-skid clean also slows mildew, which loves to colonize the texture in damp, shaded sections of the deck.
