Who We Are

Hands On Deck Detailing LLC is run by local student operators working directly with clients in the harbor community. There's no shop address and no dispatcher sending out whoever is available that day. When you book with us, you are booking with the people who actually do the work, and who come back to check on that work over the course of a season.

Why Mobile

We built the business mobile from the start rather than running a fixed shop. That means we come to your slip, your lift, or your driveway anywhere across Cook County and the lakefront, with everything the job needs, so you never have to haul, trailer, or relocate the boat for routine care. It also means our overhead goes into the work itself rather than a storefront.

How We Work

Supporting Hands On Deck means supporting a small, hardworking local operation rather than a subcontractor crew that changes from visit to visit. We use marine-safe soaps, vinyl conditioners, and enclosure-safe cleaners built for boats, not automotive substitutes, and we track how each boat's finish holds up over a season so we can catch problems early instead of reacting to them.
